I developed a passion for childhood development when I became a mother, and in pediatric rehabilitation very early in my college days. I earned a bachelor degree in Occupational therapy in 1988 in Bogota, Colombia. Since then, I have provided my services to children with an array of medical diagnosis in private sectors, school systems and specialized centers. In summer of 1995, I had the opportunity to migrate to the United States where I have focused my practice in treating children with sensory integration dysfunction, handwriting difficulties, and functional and motor impairments. My bilingual skills, English and Spanish, have allowed me to reach clients in a variety of cities and suburbs that otherwise, would have not received developmental services. In this infinite professional growing process, I continue to enhance my expertise through continuing education courses, workshops and seminars. I also contribute to my field by providing in-services to parents, clients and colleagues, and to education by instructing future occupational therapists in a variety of clinical settings.
